I only said "not that fail".

Relatively speaking this was a great update. Yes there are loads of issues but it did solve some issues.

I have zero problem with ether renewaling primal rage. The whole idea of this skill was RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing stupid. Thats for kaon btw.

As for monk runners, they wont come back because people always find an alternative. Weapon of warding was still good because it will still protect monks and runners but wont provide unstrippable blocking functions to ghostlies, bodyguards warriors and rangers.

Rend was just right as was anticipatory nerf of gaze. Solved the issue with distracting strike and damage compression. Only real problem was not nerfing activation times IMO.

If there are PVE issues with the buffs to self heals then PVE only them

what's really funny is that healing signet is now the best self heal available at very low specs. at 3 tactics, it heals for a whooping 100 hp. please consider, that it used to heal that much only at 9 tactics or above.

@Moriz: I bet you were enjoying more survivability on your Shovesin, aren't you?

It's a non-trivial interrupt Asp, you said so yourself elsewhere. 3/4s cast is interruptable but requires a modicum of luck, 1s cast is interruptible but not trivial and requires the Mesmer to be paying a lot of attention.

If only it weren't for that recharge...

And the fact that [grapple] is still the braver choice

who cares? You already had to bring cancel stance for it anyway. Now it just plain inferior to good old Frenzy/Rush combo. I mean what was the issue? That you could run fast all the time?
FYI GW isn't just 8v8. Being have to maintain PS on warrior is bad enough, thanks.

Distracting Strike dealing no damage solved the damage compression issue of the hammer bar however now its conditional dshot functionality may cause it to be taken of bars.
It is already gone and forgotten. Yay for another might as well remove it from game "fix".
Also... there was a problem with hammer bars? Oh thats right, anything that makes a warrior not a free game for a nub palm striker must be a problem....

Major let down on "balancing" tactic stances... I mean making them completely worthless is so much easier than changing penalties to affect casters instead warrior, right?
And on top - absolutely no motion on ranger stances, which IS a problem.

I know right? 4 gold capes while running a Dom mesmer, 3 with Lego on mes and 1 with Jaden. We even made it to finals in the 2nd rawr-cup with me on Dom mesmer.

Thank you Kaon, for noticing our past successes and commenting on them for the General Guildwarsguru community.

What? You don't understand why its a good thing that primal is gone?

Palm strike is broken. But thats not to say that being able to elite - crushing - distracting strike and do another 33% odd more damage approx in 1/2 a second isn't also broken.

Stances do need more work.

a 15 second recharge on primal rage is a pretty big deal. before if you force them out of it, they'll just turn it back on again after the attack is over. total downtime of that skill is almost zero. now, you can pretty easily shut it down by just hitting the warrior ever 15 seconds.

and btw, it seems robbert monga failed to notice just how powerful the old PR warrior was. let's just put it this way: i play a vicious PR warrior. during a byob session, i've managed to flatout OUTRUN my opponents' entire frontline, while dropping their mid/backline almost at will. they landed maybe 6 hits for the entire match. my total playtime on a warrior is approximately 20 hours, over the almost 4 years of GW playtime. that includes the time i've spend running around in presearing armed with healing breeze and retribution.

if i could abuse it, then it must be REALLY powerful.

i do however, believe PR is overnerfed. it went from being strictly better than eviscerate to being strict worse in almost any instance. 12 seconds recharge is much more fair.

Well the damage compression option for Hammer bars has always been there. It just fell out of favour. Have people forgotten the Prot. Strike bars when people actually used Rush on hammers?
They weren't amazingly useful but the pressure damage output was pretty insane, especially with the lower mx hp. On Spikes it could be equally strong. Iirc: Bulls, Prot (before they even hit the ground), crushing ->cancel, Dev, Prot again, or just hit, hit, let them kite Prot etc. Loads of pressure while never having to use Bulls until you really wanted to. Loads of fun! It was a lot of micro but man was it effective in the right hands, and you could always E deny the hammers (back when E Burn was on most bars), if you really wanted to :P

Well anyways it was a solid slot, just not really the best choice. Just like before, you can either get the damage compression, use an interrupt (hammers only option was crappy D Blow), or take a straight damage skill for harder spikes. D Strike came along and Power Creeped the game forward with yet more bar compression (sword and axe have better options anyways). With all the shutdown you get on a hammer isn't an fast damaging interrupt on top of that a bit much?

Good update. I'm not sorry to see P Rage go (they could change it to + adrenaline and have it how it was before, since frequent spiking and pressure was the big deal with the skill, but no speed boost). Bye bye ridiculous Caltrops.
Rits will have WoR back again which should improve defense while not being completely retarded. the WoW change is strange but quite fair.
There are other (much weaker) options to take but this may help push Restoration off of rit bars. it's not really over-powered but seeing it every game is annoying since rit bars don't have much choice/sacrifice. It was just all over the place. Now you have to give something up to use it (an extra Weapon Spell for defense and the base or Dark Escape).
I might even dust off my old Charge runner bar for comedy value :P . It took a bit of a beating with the D stance nerf but since rits have so much free points, hello 12 tactics (this has probably always been ovp but this is why Rit Runners are so much fun).

The other stuff is a bit random but i can appreciate the direction. The buff to Illusion of Haste is interesting but the real limiting factor on that skill was never the cripple (the skill itself is all about that, lol @ crip shots, and base archers, especially with Distortion also). It was the duration of the enchantment. You have to stop too much to cast when you just want to run around lowing you down to the point where the skill becomes weak.
If they left it as it was, but with a 15 second duration at 14 spec instead of 10/11, it could push mesmer gank options up again. Having a Diversion on a split is stupidly strong (even is it's low divert time, 30 seconds is just as good as 50 if you make it count), and having an extra mesmer in a build full stop is always worth something.

With Distortion you could push a Blackout on there. Not as strong as it used to be but most teams these days won't know what to against coordinated use of one of these guys, ^_^.
All in all, good change imo. I would have additionally liked a 15e Rend and a nerf to low spec Rigor but small steps I guess...
